MathsWatch is a complete online math platform, or Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), that lets students learn from anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In September 2016, mathswatch was launched.

The platform is fully responsive, which means it changes to fit any size screen, and it looks good on phones, tablets, and desktops.

The Maths KS3 and GCSE content is covered in the VLE platform's videos, practice questions, interactive questions, and worksheets.

With Mathswatch, you can watch video lessons that explain things the same way a teacher would in class. You can work on real exam questions on your own (only GCSE, KS3, and Primary) and get immediate feedback on how well you did.

You can also do homework that your teacher gives you, and both you and your teacher can get feedback right away.

2. Mathwatch: How to Use mathwatch

After you log in, you should see the following options at the top of the page:

My Work: Clicking on "My Work" will show you any work your child's teacher has given them.

Videos: When you click on "Videos," you can look for a short video to watch.

Extras: The "Extras" section tells you how to use the website and gives you some information.

Click "Videos," then choose "GCSE" or "KS3."

If you know a subject or clip number, you can search for it (these are on the documents on the school website). You can also click on videos and watch them on any topic by using the filters to find it. After that, you can choose to do questions on this topic. My Progress keeps track of the progress. This is learning on your own.

Or, you can look for topics for a certain grade level (GCSE).

Once you've chosen the clip you want to watch, you can play the video, which will explain the topic, give examples, and give you some questions to try.

Mathswatch is often used by students for their homework, but it can also be used for general review and extra help.

For KS3, you can check the school website to see what topics are being taught at each stage of the year. Each area has a video clip that goes with it. You can put the number of the video in the search box.

I think you should watch the video, write down some notes, and then answer the practice questions in the video. There are also interactive questions to answer, which are graded automatically, and worksheets with more questions to practice. I would say to finish about three or four topics per week.

For GCSE, this would be the same, but you would also be able to choose topics by grade. We would suggest that students search for topics one or two grades below their target grade if they want to practice or review in general rather than choose a specific topic.

Useful tabs

You can also watch a shorter video about One Minute Maths (good for revision).

Interactive Questions: You can answer Interactive Questions online and have them marked right away.

Mathswatch Worksheet: When you click on the "Worksheet" tab, a file with a worksheet about the topic you chose will open. This can be printed and written on, or the student can work it out and write the answers in his or her exercise book.
